Unfortunately big speakers and expensive headphones fall outside of our regular coverage here at NH, but that doesn't mean we don't like them. On the contrary. Many of us are hardcore audiophiles, some to an extent beyond healthy, but we all have in common we know the difference between good and bad audio.
AKG is a personal favorite of mine, especially in the price/performance segment. You can get some really kickass headphones for under $200 and my own K 601 won't be replaced anytime soon, it's going to be a while before I can afford some more high-end stuff.
Either way AKG has now received "Technical Grammy Award For Contribution To Recording Arts And Sciences". They couldn't have made a better choice. Press release HERE.
