from 120000+ of points daily, we dropped to almost half, many of the best users quit folding, there has been no folder of the month for the past 3 months or so...why are you people abandoning one of the best teams in the world?

I don't know what's happening, to be honest. There's a bit action in the F@H forums in the Swedish counterpart, but I haven't been in the folding loop for a while now.

The award for the last folder to be announced went out of stock before we got one and it has been hard to get a hold of samples to just give away. Companies are very hard to work with right now. Just getting samples for reviews can be hard when things are they way they are.Originally Posted by LoWRiDeR82
I'm not sure what to do about it for now, we can't stop announcing winners, but on the other hand we can't keep giving away prizes either right now.
I don't exactly why we dropped so hard in the daily production to be honest. I know one of the better folders is on hold right now for upgrades and other things, but I can't answer for the rest.

The 120k+ points was a nice spike we saw for 2 weeks, but I didn't expect that production to continue for very long. People start up, get bored, then leave. It happens. I bet they'll be back, and as more regulars join PPD will increase gradually as it has in the past.
As per getting our hands on hardware for the patron of the month, the recession is killing free samples. That's why I purpose we just start taking mean machine's hardware and give it away. Like that 4890![]()

Also, in the summer, people have a tendency of spending more time outside and leave their computers off. It gets too hot otherwise I guess.

30c is pretty miserable. Personally I'm not a fan of anything over about 25C.
Then again, here in Cali it gets to be 38c+ in the summer, which is just terrible. At that point, Its impossible to even play games without hitting 60c with air cooling. I spend most of the day at work (server room is always like 21-22c )I need to find someplace cooler and less expensive to live.

I hear Siberia is affordable. You don't get any annoying neighbours either, in most cases.Originally Posted by theredhairball

It's hot here in Rome as well, about 28-29C in my room!!! My ps3 and 4850 are asking for forgiveness, especially the latter since it's overvolted and overclocked to the limit!!

It's not that bad over here, but then again I don't have much to fold on right now. I gave away my (rather old) stationary PC to a women's shelter a while back.
