And as it has been said before....2.88 with a 1.8 B0 isn´t to shabby.

Infact it´s very nice OC considerig it is a B0....so I would keep my head high if I where you.
What kind of air cooling do you have right now.???? and what voltage do you use at 2.88..???

If the info Coore gave earlier is correct he's running this with the retail cooler and 1.65v.. :shock:

Then this is what I would do:
1. Add some extar fans to the case...quiet ones..like papst..mabye a fancontroller to.

2. Get your self an Swiftech MCX4000 with a good fan..like Papst or Zalman. According to me the best aircooling solution for P4 today.
Are u getting a fancontroller then get a 80mm Delta.....for OC:ing run it at max and for 24/7 back donw a bit and run it silent.

3. Try go little higher on the volts....according to Intel spec. below 1.75 is OK. So set it at 1.75 and just GO. 3ghz is defenitly a possibility.

haha.. more fans... i already got 3 80mm (4 including powersulpy), one 92mm, one 120mm and 3 40mm... dont think i need more fans... but i´m not running anyone of them... i want a quiet computer...

a swiftech would be nice... but i cant afford it..

will try a little more with 1.75 today when I get my GF4 so that the Voodoo3 PCI card dosent stop the fsb increase...

about that vapo... I can give you Zennan for 60 minutes if you give it to me... belive me, hes worth it... :P

though i increase the voltage to 1.75 i cant get higher than 2.88 stable.. booted up in 170FSB earlier today (3.06Ghz)... but lay of while loading windows..
doh.. guess i wont get any higher with this processor..

As I said...try to get either a Swifty or a AlphaPAL....and a god 80mm fan...mabye an converter to 120mm and you´ll get god amount off cfm and still pretty silent cooling.
This I think will get you to 3ghz or atleast veeery close.

I have a 1.8 B0 SL63X... I can only manage to overclock it to a level of ~2500Mhz... However that's not it's maximum level, my shitty Gigabyte-mobo has a locked VCore voltage, which doesn't allow me to push it beyond 1.46V, which actually is less than recommended... Otherwise I would definitely challenge you and push it way beyond 2.88GHz
