Why would anyone buy a camera with a broken screen?
So they can break it worse...![]()
If you can't tell its a canon sd300, much like the sd400 I don't intend to break
CHDK doesn't work with these models, but maybe someday someone will port it. An added bonus of my way is that I can save battery life with time lapse photography![]()
I hoped the ribbon would not melt when I soldered to it, and it didn't
I have placed a spell on you;
You will now obey my command(s)...
I took it for a ride to try it out. At a later date I might take a time lapse of a sunset or sunrise, but I want to find a really nice location out in the woods, or by a shoreline
These are my first two time lapse videos. The first one is short, with music from an "unknown" artistThe second video is a drive taken from here, onto interstate 264West, jump to 264W, exit at Norview Ave in Norfolk, back onto 64E, jump to 264E, and back here. The first takes a shot every three seconds, the second one takes a shot every two seconds. The power wires got rattled loose a time or two in the second
I think other interesting things would be possible, like using a photocell and some code to serve as a lightning detectorbut maybe with a nicer camera, although the pictures are hi-res
