So, I've came to my senses again. I can't be messing around with a darn IP-95, even though my E6420 is pretty much sufficient when it comes to doing what I do with my computer, namely surfing, pretty much.
But today, I made some rearrangements. I sold my OCZ Powerstream 520W PSU along with my 8800GTS (which pretty much sucks at overclocking), leaving me about 3800 SEK to play with. I was pretty much thinking of stashing the cash away until P35 arrives, not to mention R600.
Or... To be honest, I ordered myself a Zalman ZM-600HP 600W modular PSU (built by FSP), since it was darn cheap, and Zalman usually has some really quiet stuff. Everything might be silent compared to the Powerstream, but what the heck. The PSU cost me 950SEK, so I'll have around 2850SEK to waste on GFX, and that's what the R600 entry-level card was supposed to cost, right? I sure hope so.
Oyeah, one last thing, I'm going to return this mobo of mine to the retailer for another 550SEK, but they've been real slow with the money transfers lately... Probably won't be adding that money to my GFX buying tally, but anyways.
I'm writing this since I'm plain bored... Help me make up my mind somehow (even though it ain't easy, given that "no" bench results on R600 has come out yet), whilst I play around on a 690G rig with an X2 5400+. _________________ Man, or woman, or both? Grandis spiritus, sanctus diavolos

Yea, the Vapo's still here with me... Used it about two times, but as soon as I buy myself a case I'll try running with it 24/7. Maybe I'll switch back to E6600 as well, if the new P35-mobos don't overclock like 550MHz FSB+, which they don't seem to be doing just yet. _________________ Man, or woman, or both? ES samples usually don't be nothing to me, just mild indicators, so I have no idea how these boards (P35/P5K) will be on release. Samples are always too cherry picked and most top class ones do close or above 500FSB. I've seen one of the above boards already somewhere do over 550FSB with ease, but thats also a CPU. That one was an ES unrealesed 1333FSB C2D. No way with my QX6700.
I'm waiting for many boards to come until then and compare. They won't release till much later though, especially for what I'm after.
I'll be upgrading now anyway, to the two R600s (don't know which is which yet) and possibly the DFI RD600 board. Not sure, depending on many performance factors.
One of the quads I have performs like one cooked 'n dead and the other is a monster cherry pick!
So you can tell which'll be the one I use, and I don't have a X6800, so will want to get highest oc possible on all components for 24/7 stable and keep it non-damaging.

I don't mean to be rude, but I most certainly won't end up with a P5K.
The problem with P35 is that it still doesn't have more than 4 PCI-E lanes to the secondary PCI-E port, pretty much useless for Crossfire. But then again, if you want to run Crossfire, get yourself a I975X-mobo or the DFI RD600. Not that I myself would have deep enough pockets to buy two R600's to run Crossfire, but that would've been fun.
And the DFI RD600 hasn't exactly overwhelmed me either, sadly. Tried that and a bunch of P965 mobos, the 965 boards felt much more stable.
Guess I'll see what happens. Most certainly a R600 anyways. _________________ Man, or woman, or both? Grandis spiritus, sanctus diavolos
