I must say, the first time I read about making a cpu cooler from an A/C unit, I laughed a bit, but part of me knew I laughed because I knew it could be done. Seems other people out there have got it to work as well, but that insulating deal just isn't for me (right now )
Not much different than before at the desk level... Easy to work on
Sometimes I impress even myself The compressor and fan turn on for about 5 minutes when the temp hits 25C, turns off at 21C and stops dropping at about 20C, then stay off for about 20-30 minutes Almost this long even when under full load from overvolted cpu
I went to a pawn shop in the winter and took a look through a pile of A/C units to find a good quiet one, this unit doesn't make alot of noise. Been running for several days now, and no problems plastic trash bags just in case...
Certainly the best load temps I've ever had at 1.7vgpu toying with the E6600 for now
