Crossfire on a P35

I guys,
I've found an awesome deal at www.pixmania.se and it is an HD3870 for 600 SEK!

But i only have a P5K, and the other slot is at 4x but i checked Google and found that I'll gain some performance at most games in Higher resolution.
I mainly play in 16x12.

Soo.. Is it worth it, it's only 600 SEK!? (I'm using one HD3870 now)

The 4x bandwidth isn't that bad, it will slow things down a bit compared to 8x, but 3870 isn't that bandwidth hungry so I would definetely go with the second card for a fast and easy upgrade. If nothing else, you can brag about runnign CrossFire Wink

On the other hand, you can get Radeon HD 4850/4770 for around 1000SEK, that's probably a much better upgrade.

Okey..

That sounds nice, but i don't have 1k now and it will take a while until i get it and when i get "alot" of money then i will buy one of the "HD-5" cards. Wink

So I'll probably get the 3870! Very Happy

I wouldn't bother. Sell your HD3870 and buy yourself a HD4850 instead. The HD4850 is pretty much twice as good as a single HD3870.
