As usual, I'm a bitch. So, one sole screenshot it is. On air (for now). Everest, Mem Read is the only benchmark (though it is Vantage CPU test stable as well as much else, but I don't feel like screenshotting everything).
(And no, you shouldn't worry about the VCore shown, it's nowhere near the truth.) _________________ Man, or woman, or both? Grandis spiritus, sanctus diavolos

It should handle shuffling tracks in Foobar2000, yeah. To be honest, there was some GTA IV a while back. _________________ Man, or woman, or both? Grandis spiritus, sanctus diavolos

Are you sure that's 100% stable? You had better ship it to me so I can test it as well. Oh and send me the ram/mobo too. _________________ Phenom II @ 3.5ghz/1.4v/2000mhz HTT | 4 x 2gb Gskill Pi Black 930mhz 2.1v @ cas4 2T | 4870 512mb @ 850/4400 | Gigabyte 790gx SB750

I think I gotta start with shipping your cooler (sorry for that, my bank account is really empty.
It actually was stable for an hour or so, ate everything I threw at it... Now I've more or less given up anything above 3.6GHz on air, but then again, I just fired up my Vapo LS. Turns out bypassing the CC3 controller makes the compressor work (obviously), but the fans don't spin up at all. When the compressor case was cool I did about 4.4GHz 3DMark CPU test stable, 4.55GHz Pi 1M stable, but then it turned out to be a bit too much for the Vapo without any actual ventilation in the case. Oh, well, hoping for a new Chillcontroller, if not, I'll just wire the fans to my PSU instead. Either way 4.4GHz will be my new 24/7 clock, take my word for it. _________________ Man, or woman, or both? Grandis spiritus, sanctus diavolos

What voltage are you really running at? When I saw 1.55v I just about cried. Maybe I'll see if I can get my Phenom II to those kinds of clocks, but I doubt that 4.4 is possible even with water. Maybe after this chip has served me for a year, I'll kill it like I did my e6600. (May it rest in peace, but it did hit 4.0ghz and was everything but orthos stable. Then a week later it died ) _________________ Phenom II @ 3.5ghz/1.4v/2000mhz HTT | 4 x 2gb Gskill Pi Black 930mhz 2.1v @ cas4 2T | 4870 512mb @ 850/4400 | Gigabyte 790gx SB750

I'm actually not at all sure about this motherboard... You set 1.32V in BIOS, reboot, go into BIOS again and it tells you you're at 1.48V. If you enable loadline calibration, you're suddenly at 1.52V... And then CPU-Z adds another .3V.
For the Vapo runs, I was at about 1.5-1.55V, which isn't bad for phase, but pretty volatile on air.
I still wish I got to play with a Phenom II, think I'll have to harass AMD for a 955 in a few weeks time. _________________ Man, or woman, or both? Grandis spiritus, sanctus diavolos

Wow, a .2v increase from the BIOS? I mean vdroop can be a problem, but that's a little insane.
The Phenom II's are pretty fun. All of the ones I've seen go to the 3.5ghz range on stock voltage, but anything after that is completely random. A friend of mine's doesn't do a mhz above 3.5ghz unless you bump the voltage up to 1.5v. Stock is 1.35v- these things are happy at 1.5v, but then they usually hit a wall and max just short of 4.0ghz. _________________ Phenom II @ 3.5ghz/1.4v/2000mhz HTT | 4 x 2gb Gskill Pi Black 930mhz 2.1v @ cas4 2T | 4870 512mb @ 850/4400 | Gigabyte 790gx SB750

Yeah, I'm not sure what's what, since I haven't broken my multimeter out to check it.
I did find out though, that my DFI Lanparty NF2 Rev B works just fine, along with my XP-M 2400+ just now. Too bad I don't have a floppy drive to install the SATA driver for it. So I suppose there will be some more old school AMD OC soon (and I've said that for a year or two now, but hey... Gotta do what you gotta do). _________________ Man, or woman, or both? If I lived closer I could donate legacy hardware like floppy drives to the noble cause of OCing an athlon XP. I have a shed full of old floppy drives, CPU heatsinks, and video cards from the era at my work. Just yesterday I saw the mighty riva tnt 2 _________________ Phenom II @ 3.5ghz/1.4v/2000mhz HTT | 4 x 2gb Gskill Pi Black 930mhz 2.1v @ cas4 2T | 4870 512mb @ 850/4400 | Gigabyte 790gx SB750

I think there should be a floppy drive around here somewhere. I remember for sure though, that I once made a keychain out of the Riva TNT 2 core.
What I need most is good RAM, I have like 6GB of DDR1 or so, but it's all low-performance crap (except one PC4400 512MB stick). I was thinking of making use of my RAM pot (finally) by putting some BH-5 under it and draw power from the +5V rail and just use a resistor or something to lower the voltage to 4V or so. I remember running 4.0V on air once, and that pair of mems survived just fine, so I'm thinking 4.5V or so should be doable under LN2. Problem is, Socket A probably isn't the ideal benching platform for RAM, but it'd be fun to see what's doable. If I actually do some of this some time I gotta get a S939 board to test some RAM out. _________________ Man, or woman, or both? Grandis spiritus, sanctus diavolos

And just to return to my own topic...
No idea why wPrime says 3753MHz, though. But I gotta say, this chip is hot. 10 degrees centigrade max under the wPrime 1024M run, and that's under the Vapo (which now has fans revving like mad at 12V). I didn't give it time to cool down properly though, I admit that much, I was a bit too anxious to get going.
EDIT: It's going fairly well at the moment. The mems top out at about 950MHz though, which sucks.
It's stable as hell too. _________________ Man, or woman, or both? Grandis spiritus, sanctus diavolos
So, I like the HD4890. Particularly the RAM clock is insane. I scored almost 23k in 3DMark06 with a single GPU, I love it! _________________ Man, or woman, or both? Grandis spiritus, sanctus diavolos
