I've gone over the proposals and even if I have to rule out a number of them, there are a couple left to decided from. We would like a geographically neutral name, but that's a bit hard to do with the site being named like it is and all.

The name should be short and concise, alas this is not the case with all submissions.

This is you're chance to tell us what you think and based on you're votes we will make a decision for what the name of the team should be.

You have one week to vote and make your voices heard.

Folding @ NH comes most natural to me, so I voted for it.

Choice number two is the best in my opinion. NordicFolders, I don't like that because not everyone is nordic!!I swear if you pick that I am leaving the team! eheh
You should consider giving some hardware prizes to the most active folders to help em fold more and faster!!!Oh wait! You are already doing that!!! Wink Yo let's push it the 1xx's are close!

Yeah, and from what I understand, Andreas is looking to expand the prize giveaways to all our international folders as well. At least hoping. Razz

I didn't like the "NordicFolders" for the same reason you mentioned, it doesn't say NordicHardware in one way or another, and it definitely doesn't speak for all the folders. Smile

Adding up the votes here and the Swedish forum, Folding @ NordicHardware/NH (F@NH) has a big lead.

Yea, I'm close to finding a solution for North America at least. It gets harder with the rest of the world, Europe should be doable already though.

Have any ideas been pitched about the logo?

I can't use those fancy programs like Photoshop or Illustrator for the life of me, but I think it would be cool to basically reproduce the current NH logo but fill in the letters with something similar to the 3d viewer for the GPU clients. Kind of like an "N" and "H" but made of proteins in the process of folding.

If I have some free time today maybe I'll use my uber Microsoft paint/screen shot skills to whip up a concept.

There are a few logos submitted to the competition (which I suspect we have for our Swedish members), I don't blame you for not knowing Swedish, but here's a link to the thread at least: http://www.nordichardware.se/forum/nordichardware-foldinghome-top250-logotyp-och-namntavling-vt175767.html

Thanks for the link! I may not know Swedish, but Google translator is good enough for now.

It looks like people beat me to the punch with the whole protein idea on the existing logo. There are also some other good ones, so I can prolong my inevitable need to learn photoshop another few weeks.

Can you be more precise, exactly which link? If there's a problem I'll fix it of course.
