Earlier this week we presented you with the scratches for the coolers of Radeon HD 4870 and 4850, but now we've stumbled upon pictures of the actual coolers, not just 4870 and 4850, but also for the upcoming dual-GPU 4870X2 and mid-range 4650 graphics cards. If you had any doubt, the coolers look like the scratches we presented you, but there's one very interesting detail, or lack of it, with the Radeon HD 4870X2 cooler.

The front of the Radeon HD 4870X2 cooler looks fairly familiar;

The back on the other hand is different;

As you can see there is no heatsink in the middle. That's where the bridge chip used to be.

Update2: There's a contact surface in the middle if you play around with Photoshop;

Update1: We've been informed that this is not the final design, the card gets too hot with just the one heatpipe.

Below is the Radeon HD 4870 cooler, which is basically a large copper heatsink inside a plastic housing cooled by a large radial fan.

Next we have the Radeon HD 4850 cooler, which is single-slot;

Update1: Both the 4870 and 4850 are suppose to be very quiet and worthy successors for the 3870/3850 coolers.

Last and least, we have the cooler for the Radeon HD 4650;

None so far, but it's the RV730 core, and I'm guessing 128-bit interface and GDDR3 7-800MHz.
Best case scenario 160 shaders, 8-16TMUs and 8 ROPs.
