NVIDIA launched its PhysX on GeForce driver a while back. It proved to be a real killer 3DMark Vantage as it was able to accelerate performance in one of the CPU tests far beyond of what a regular physics accelerator card could do. This was of course controversial since this was not how Futuremark intended it to work. Accusations of cheating started to around but disappeared after a while. It all refloated after that CJ told VR-Zone that the NVIDIA PhysX installation replaced files in the Vantage directory.

Following all this, Futuremark has now decided to update its Hall of Fame to exclude all results using PhysX on a GPU, simply because this was not how they intended it to work. It has also been updated to organize the results better for easier comparison. You can still use a regular PPU card with an Ageia PhysX processor to boost your score because this was something 3DMark Vantage was designed for.
