Scythe Ninja 2 is the successor to the popular high-end cooler Scythe Ninja. Ninja 2 has six heatpipes and weighs in at 705 gram (without fan), and with a 120 mm fan mounted it all adds up to 820 gram. Even though a heavier cooler isn't always better, a lot of the better coolers are big ones. Ninja 2 comes with a quiet 120mm fan spinning at 1000RPM and uses fluid dynamic bearing for the least possible noise. The base and the heatpipes are made from pure copper while the fins are made from aluminum to keep weight and cost down.

According to Scythe, the new cooler is up to 10% better than the old Ninja. In a recent review by overclockersclub, Ninja 2 was put against ASUS Triton 85, Scythe Shuriken 120, Thermalright Ultra 120 Extreme and the stock cooler from Intel, and it did well. You can find the cooler in stores for about $50.
