MSI has announced a new model of NVIDIA's GeForce GTX 285 graphics card and emphasizes the new self-designed cooling. MSI's SuperPipe technology uses extra thick heatpipes (8mm) for removing the heat extra fast. When the heat reaches the heatsink the two Twin Frozr fans should do a better job than most single fan coolings. The card is also overclocked; 680MHz/1476MHz/2500MHz (GPU/Shader/Memory).

MSI N285GTX SuperPipe OC: 2 advanced cooling technologies on a single card
Today, MSI launches its N285GTX SuperPipe OC graphics card, combining the powerful NVIDIA GeForce GTX 285 GPU with MSI’s exclusive 8mm thick ‘SuperPipe’ cooling and Twin Frozr cooling. This special thermal design of MSI N285GTX SuperPipe graphics card enables gamers to truly experience a high graphic performance in 3D games.
MSI SuperPipe Technology
The MSI N285GTX SuperPipe OC is MSI's first graphic card, using this SuperPipe Technology. It comes with 8mm thick heatpipes, which are 60% thicker than traditional heatpipes. These thicker heatpipes transfer the heat very quickly from the GPU to the fans. The thicker the heatpipe, the faster it can transfer the generated heat and this improves the thermal efficiency with 90%. With MSI Superpipe technology minimizes the risk on overheating high-end graphic cards.

Twin Frozr dual-fan
MSI N285GTX SuperPipe OC also has a Twin Frozr dual-fan thermal design that cools down the GPU and other components (such as capacitors and memory). Through the combination of SuperPipe and Twin Frozr dual-fan designs, gamers can truly experience the N285GTX SuperPipe's cool and fast performance.
