Intel has really turned around when it comes to overclocking. From totally blanking everything that had to do with overclocking, Intel has moved to accepting the concept of overclocking. It then even arranged an overclocking event under where overclockers were allowed to do whatever they want to the all new processor. AMD has been reborn with the new Phenom II family and it seems like Intel has borrowed some ideas from AMD.

Since the launch of Phenom II, AMD has released a number of videos showing how its new processor is pushed to new heights using extreme cooling methods, not just liquid nitrogen but even liquid helium.

With these overclocking sessions caught on video AMD has received a lot of positive feedback and attention, and now Intel has tried something similar. Intel has sneaked out a video on YouTube where overclockers Steve 'DaFridgie' Anderson and Paul 'Sacha35' Watkinson push Intel's Core i7 965 Extreme processors using liquid nitrogen.

The movie is edited by Intel and contains some hidden ads, like the Formula 1 sponsorship, but also informative overclocking. Nothing truly breathtaking, but proof that even has acknowledged the potential of this kind of "buzz" marketing.
