Buffalo has launched a new USB memory part of the RUF2-PS family with 16GB storage capacity. When several companies decided to launch 128GB USB memories it may not seem that impressive, but when you look closer, and you have to, you realize this is cool too. Buffalo has installed 16GB storage in a USB that measures 18x18x8mm, which means the USB connector makes up 75% of the memory. When installed the USB stick extends at most 5mm from the computer.
Buffalo use the USB2.0 interface and the memory is available in red, black or white. No price is available at the moment, but Buffalo says it will start shipping to stores within a week. It's quite amazing that they managed to fit 16GB of storage in 5mm of plastic.
