While doing some heavy air action I decided to go dual core and let the FX-57 rest for a bit. Im mighty impressed bu AMDs dual core power and nvidias optimization in forceware. This dual core cpu outperforms the FX-57 @ 3200MHz by more than 1000 points @ "only" 3128MHz. The same cooling were used.

That's a neat clock... And good to hear that the X2's perform that well, I guess I should have sold my Opteron 146 and bought one of those anyway. Smile

The main reason for the improvement is because the second core takes over the load of the OS and all that jazz...

What chip and what cooling was used? I could make a guess based on your HT but you would have always lowered that...

I'm gonna take the IHS off my Opt 175 and drop a swiftech H2O block on there pretty soon I hope...

Hi guys
I am amazed with these scores - then I saw your card is a GTX and you have it at amazing clock speeds!
I have been doing some of my own experimentation with my new 950 Dual Core 65nm CPU, all cooled with 1c air from my open window! but it has been with SLI 7800GTs so I got nowhere near your benches....Sad
What is the max CPU speed you benched at and what HW are you using please?
Thanks

Welcome to the forums Wink

I didn't even know you could buy those processors already Very Happy

Kinc has two GTX512 cards at his disposal to, not regular GTX. Wink

nice stuff kinc Smile
Ive been tring to say dual core is the future Wink
my 2 12pipe 6800gs's for 24pipes total are hitting 14,000 in 2k5 and cost me 50% less than a single 512meg 7800gtx

my best air cooled score is here my top water cooled scores are in my sig below. I have yet to try dryice or anything like that.

WR 24pipe scores either 2x12pipe in sli/amr or a single x1800xt/7800gtx Smile

First of all welcome Wink

Second: Yikes!
14k is very good with 24 pipes is just breathtaking, 7800GT SLI systems is at about that level Wink

(This pictures doesn't work though Sad)

If I'm not mistaking Kinc did 12 with one 7800GTX512, which puts you ahead Wink

What driver revision are you using?

thanks kinc Smile

Yeah tuesday "becasue the damm holidays" ill have some better ram so Ill try for 300x12=3600mhz with one of these 4800+'s I have here.

the power the 3300mhz dualcore has with SLI even on my cheap $400 set of 6800's is unreal. and not just in benchmarks but games also.

all this too
4800+@3300mhz+
2x74gig raptors
2x512 /2x1024 ram
2x 6800gs highly overclocked
dfi expert
and fans and cdrw drives all off 1 600w OCZ Wink
