A while back we reported about how OC Team Italy managed to push a Pentium 4 631 over 8GHz. A couple of other Italians have now managed with another great achievement. They've namely managed to reach below 9 seconds; 8.985s to be exact. This was performed using an Intel Core 2 Extreme X6800 at 5620Mhz (468.3x11) with a fully volt-modded Asus P5W64 WS. We imagine that the high frequency together with the tight memory performance of the 975X circuit was the key. Hats off to the Italian overclockers.
