G.Skill launches DDR2-1000 CL5 4GB kit

G.Skill has announced a new kit consisting of two 2 GB modules running at 1 GHz; F2-8000CL5D-4GBPQ. The new modules sports 5-5-5-15 timings and is a part of G.Skill's high-end PQ series, which basically means flashy heatspreaders. The operating voltage is 2.0 and 2.1 V, slightly more than the standard 1.8 V. At PC2-8000 speeds this is one of the fastest 4GB DDR2 kits on the market, and the only kit we know is faster is Mushkin's XPS2-8500 4GB kit with 5-4-4-12 timings.
