Danger Den is one out of many cooling manufacturers working on solutions for AMD's fresh graphics card Radeon HD 3870 X2, but unlike the rest it has released a preview its coming creation. Danger Den are best known for its water cooling cooling products and it comes as no surprise that Danger Den's solution is a water block. Despite the efficient 55nm manufacturing process, it's unavoidable for two powerful RV670 graphics circuits to generate a lot of heat, and keeping the card cool is of utmost importance. Much like other water blocks from Danger Den, this new block is made from solid copper and has a top made from plexiglas.

The cooler covers the entire card, both GPUs, the PCI Express bridge chip and the memory chips. A water block isn't just more efficient (usually), but it will also reduce the size of the card since Danger Den's cooler needs only one expansion slot. Danger Den has published two pictures of the prototype of HD 3870 X2 water block, and claims that the final product will be ready in about a week.
