I refuse to post this as news because it's just crap, but I still wanted to clarify that this is just a load of crap.
A user at Anandtech has posted a GPU-Z dump and a screenshot with a 3DMark 06 score, claiming it to be "GT200".
First of all, GT200 is not a proper code name, and as far as I know it's not even in the GPU-Z database, especially not in v 0.1.5.
If you just look at the picture there are a number of things that doesn't add up. First of all the CPU score. You know just as well as I do that an Intel Core 2 Q6700 does not score 5272 points at stock speed.3500-4000 would've been reasonable +5000 is just ridiculous.
If you look closely at the pictures where it says NVIDIA GT you can see some graphical artifacts above the text. Could be jpeg-compression artifacts though.
Name, BIOS and dropdown list is blocked out for no obvious reason. The poster already says that he got the information from inside of XFX...
512MB GDDR4? Very skeptical of that. Especially as GPU-Z can't read the speed of the memory. GPU-Z should be able to recognize all kinds of current GDDR4.
Last but not least you can clearly see that the resolution ends with a "4", which rules out the possibility that he or she ran the test at 2560x1600.
The we have the fact that the silicon should still be in a very early stage and should not be able to output anything even remotely close to this. Perfecting the driver is the last thing you do and performance anywhere near this should not be expected until weeks before the launch. We're still months away from the next generation from NVIDIA.

Just get some attention I would say.
And the proper code name is G200

Problably.
Are you sure about that? I only read GT200, G200 makes a whole lot more sense though because of the old codenames G70, G80 etc. |

Could be an internal code-name, but I'm leaning toward that this was the name that first appeared at the beginning of the year, and it has stuck.
If we switched to G200 now, people will think it's a different core.

Haha, that's so true.
G200 just seems right anyway so. |

Prices have dropped though
$399/499.
