The Intel Core 2 Quad 9000 series has been listed for long at retailers around the globe, but the stock has been somewhere in between none and zero. Distributors are expecting a full stock coming next week, with deliveries already this week. We've also been told that they are expecting C1 stepping, which is part reason as to why the stock has been so limited. Intel Core 2 Quad Q9300 is listed for €230, Q9450 will run you €275 and Q9550 will cost you €450.

Since they generally improve overclockability with each stepping, and based on how the QX9650/9770 clock, I'd say we're in for a pretty rough ride. Just get yourself a mobo that handles some 500+ MHz FSB with a quad and you're set.

Should be enough. Can't say for sure the chips does 500MHz+ FSB though, but I'd be disappointed if they didn't. I mean, the QX6850 I have on my desk did 510MHz FSB on a crappy P5K Vanilla...
