Lenovo goes thin with IdeaPad U350
Written by Andreas G 26 May 2009 19:41

PC builder Lenovo is on the offensive. Information on coming models has leaked and they do look interesting, especially the notebooks. Lenovo is going with the flow and is about to launch a really thin 13" notebook called IdeaPad U350. As expected it has chosen Intel's energy efficient CULV platform for its 25mm thick notebooks, which together with a starting price of around $650 makes Lenovo's IdeaPad a really hot challenger.

With several processor alternatives in 1.4GHz Core 2 Solo SU3500, 1.3GHz Pentium SU2700 and 1.2GHz Celeron 723 processor and up to 8GB RAM it is a complete computer in a slim design. Lenovo IdeaPad U350 is expected to arrive in July.

Other noteworthy details include the first NVIDIA Ion netbook, Lenovo IdeaPad S12, that will sport a 12" display and house an Atom N270 processor with 1GB RAM and 160GB harddrive. It comes with a 6 cell battery, enough for up to 6 hour battery time.

The price of Lenovo IdeaPad S12 will be around $450 and the netbook should appear sometime this summer.
