Even if AMD has been thinking of bringing the special TWKR version of Phenom II to market there are ways to acquire a Phenom II TWKR 42 processor, if you're not an editor or highly skilled overclocker with connections. The answer is eBay, where AMD's special edition of the processor has appeared. It's not some greedy person who has posted the auction though but the proceeds from the auction will got to the charity organization Family Eldercare in Austin, Texas.
The price started at 1 USD and after two days the bid was up to 3000 USD, but today it has climbed further up to $11,600.
That's more than fifty times the price of Phenom II X4 Black Edition, but then the purpose is very noble. The auction ends on Jul 20th and the price can still climb to unexpected heights.
