It's been a while since we saw the first pictures and tests of Intel's coming hexa-core processor Gulftown. The processor that is expected to launch as Core i9 will be Intel's first hexa-core CPU for retail and the launch is slated for next year. The problem is that the new CPU is spreading fast already and that engineering samples (ES) that should not be sold are not only sold on eBay but even enthusiast forums around the world.

The new processor is made with Intel's fresh 32 nanometer technology and can easily be found on eBay but just south of here, in Denmark, the processor is sold on forums for around $850. The thread at OCTeamDenmark has been removed but is available through Google cache.

Intel's processors has a tendency of leaking to the media and enthusiasts before launch, but lately the spread has become all the worse. How and if Intel will deal with this remains to be seen.
