Microsoft will launch its highly anticipated operating system Windows 7 tomorrow and the Internet will be flooded with information. We will of course be covering the launch and have been playing with the operating system for a couple of months. We're quite happy with what Microsoft has accomplished. We will be offering some useful tips on Windows 7 that will show what it has to offer beyond the polished exterior. First up is a tip for the multi-monitor or HTPC users.
Keyboard shortcut for switching displays
Many users have additional displays connected to their computers. Not just monitors but also TVs and projectors. Using different displays can be problematic and switching between them can be a gruesome task. Microsoft has solved this in an exemplary manner with Windows 7 though a simple keyboard shortcut:
Windows key + P
This enables users to switch between different modes or displays. This is very efficient for those who can't use the clone mode because of different resolutions, or switch primary screen for e.g. Blu-ray playback(that doesn't work in clone mode no matter the resolution).

Windows key + P
Our Windows 7 tips will continue to appear here at NordicHardware on a fairly daily basis, and if you have any tips of your own please don't hesitate to Drop Us An E-Mail.
