It was just a matter of time and PowerColor became the first company to launch a water-cooled Radeon HD 5870 graphics card. PowerColor Liquid Cooling Solution (LCS) HD5870 is the name of the card and the water block was designed by EK. The water block needs very little space with its slim single-slot design and can use both 3/8 or 1/2" nozzles.
The water block is a full cover model and cools not just the GPU but also memory and voltage regulators. PowerColor didn't reveal any numbers for comparison, temperatures and such, but Radeon HD 5870 has a lot of heat to deal with, the water block should certainly help.

The clock frequencies of the card have been tweaked a bit to 875MHz GPU and 1250MHz memory (5000MHz effectively). No great changes but then you will have room for a lot more than with air cooled cards. The price hasn't been set yet but the card should appear in stores on November 6th.
