AMD has already launched two quarter of the planned DirectX 11 lineup for the desktop market. The Cypress and Juniper GPUs covers the performance and mid-range segments, which will soon be followed by Hemlock in the high-end segment, sporting two Cypress GPUs. The last quarter piece of the puzzle is slated for Q1 2010 with Redwood and Cedar, for the budget and entry level segments. We now have some information from PC builders that says that the first mobile graphics circuits of the Evergreen family are set for early next year.
The information we've come across tells us AMD is planning a launch of the first mobile DirectX 11 circuits in January. After talking to a PC builder we had it confirmed that AMD is indeed doing a launch in the first month of next year.
At the same time the same PC builder was uncertain that we would actually see any DirectX 11 GPUs by then. Even if the launch schedule holds the actual circuits may take longer to reach the market. This makes the November launch rumors seem not quite on the spot.
