ELSA announces PCIe x1 GeForce 210 graphics card
Written by Andreas G 02 November 2009 20:27

NVIDIA's GeForce 210 GPU isn't exactly the most powerful around and this is has been used to its own advantage by ELSA. It has namely chosen to use the chip for its latest PCI Express x1 graphics card. The graphics card will be limited to 500MB, but at the same time it can be used with nearly all new motherboards since there is usually at least a PCIe x1 slot.

ELSA Gladiac 210 LP can thus be a nice choice for those who want support for more monitors, but lack PCIe x16 slots, or simply for a smaller system with no support or need for the larger interface.

With that in mind ELSA has chosen a low-profile design with one HDMI and one DVI output on the bracket. The GPU operates at 589MHz and has 512MB DDR2 memory running at 1000MHz at its disposal. The price is rather high though, which seems to be a trait of most PCIe x1 solutions, the card costs nearly 140€ in Japan .
