AOpen EZ482 is a so called Small Form Factor barebone, which is simply a smaller version of a regular-sized computer, but still containing all the latest components. AOpen is one of the manufacturers that has adopted to the SFF trend and its XC Cube series contains a lot of models for various platforms. EZ482 is one of the members of the XC Cube family and like the Shuttle SN25P we reviewed earlier it is a barebone for AMD's Socket 939 platform. There are a lot of things separating the two though, not just that AOpen has chosen a different design for the chassis, altohugh similar measurements, but also that AOpen has chosen to build around ATI's RS482 chipset where Shuttle had chosen NVIDIA's nForce 4 chipset.
