NordicHardware overclocks Conroe and Quad SLI Live at DreamHack!
Written by Andreas G 15 June 2006 20:27

DreamHack is getting pretty close by now, this the first DreamHack of the year; DreamHack Summer 2006. NordicHardware will as usual be there at the world's largest LAN and except for our hardware support we will offer a whole lot more during DHS06. We will display not one, but two world premiers in the form of displays and overclockings of hardware. NordicHardware will be the first to overclock Intel's Conroe processors Live a whole month in advance of the expected launch. Our overclocking gurus Robert "Crotale" Kihlberg and Marcus "Kinc" Hultin will be the men behind the wheel and there will be no holding back in the hunt for high frequencies and performance records.

NH will bring two, perhaps three Conroe-based processors to DreamHack and together with the large amount of exotic cooling there are tendations for a true overclocker party. For those of you who are interested in Intel's coming processor architecture and not the least its overclocking potential DHS06 is the right place to be.

Except from overclocking Conroe we will also display NVIDIA's GeForce 7950GX2 graphics cards and with the help of modified drivers we will also be able to display a Quad SLI system with two 7950GX2 cards. A system that hasn't been launched officially yet. This Quad SLI system will be overclocked using AMD's moster processor Athlon 64 FX-62 and will offer some monstrous graphical performance.

With big piles of hardware, exotic cooling and Robert and Marcus controling the whole thing DHS06 seems to be something out of the ordinary, which says a lot considering the show we put on last year. As usual we will also arrange a number of entertaining competitions where we will have prizes worth more than $1,400. Among others the classic Bunguru WA will be with us once again and we can now reveal a trailer for our own upcoming NH game.

So make sure to come down to DreamHack Summer 2006 and especially NordicHardware's booth. More information about the event and what NH is planning to do can be found at our DH site.
