Kinc warming up with 3DMark 03 world record: 84.244 points!
Written by Andreas G 28 November 2006 22:54

Kinc has spent the day warming up before DreamHack by testing his system with dual graphics cards, I.e. SLI. Earlier it's been single-card records, but this time it's all the way with dual cards. He has primarily focused on 3DMark 03 and then managed to reach 84,244 points, a new world record. The cards are two GeForce 8800 GTX from ASUS and they have paired with ASUS' new NVIDIA 680i-based Striker Extreme and an Intel Core 2 Extreme X6800 at only 4GHz. In other words, there is room for improvement and we can promise you that there will be more coming during the days to come.

In SLI Kinc has managed to push the GPU frequency to 925MHz and the memory to 1201MHz. Those of you who wants to meet Kinc has the chance to do so now during DreamHack as he and NordicHardware will be there offering high-quality entertainment, not the least in the form of world class overclocking.

Specifications
Intel Core 2 Extreme X6800 @ 3990MHz (399x10), air-cooled
Corsair Dominator @ 475MHz 3-3-2-4
ASUS Striker Extreme
ASUS GeForce 8800 GTX SLI @ -78°C load cascade
Cooltek 600W
