XFX 8800 GeForce XXX Series - overclocked G80 cards
Written by Andreas G 18 December 2006 13:45

XFX seems to be the first graphics card manufacturer that has been allowed to launch overclocked G80 graphics card. It has namely launched a new series called XFX 8800 GeForce XXX Series. The new XXX series is simply graphics cards that are overclocked from factory and both NVIDIA's GeForce 8800 GTX & 8800 GTS have been overclocked quite a lot.

  • GeForce 8800 GTX original: 575MHz/1800MHz
  • XFX GeForce 8800 GTX XXX: 630MHz/2000MHz

  • GeForce 8800 GTS original: 500MHz/1600MHz
  • XFX GeForce 8800 GTS XXX: 550MHz/1800MHz

The graphics cards have been thoroughly tested at these speeds so there should not be any stability issues, something NVIDIA has been afraid of earlier on. From what it seems, XFX will launch its XXX series in a very limited supply and the price/availability is yet to be announced. We're looking forward to see what kind of an advantage the XFX XXX series has over the other G80 cards on the market.
