It's impossible not making parallels between Blu-ray vs. HD DVD and VHS vs. Betamax. The latter battle had a few factors which eventually led to the victory of VHS and one of them was the support from the adult film industry. Now that they once again picked side it has chosen to support the format with the lowest production costs; HD DVD. This industry is a power with few equals and that this would not affect the outcome is highly unlikely. So to summarize, HD DVD has the porn industry and Blu-ray has Playstation. The last time we checked the first was a many times bigger industry.
