Pirate Bay can be blocked by Swedish ISPs because of child pornography
Written by Andreas G 07 July 2007 14:08

The Swedish police and Swedish ISPs have together made a list of sites that should be blocked because they spread child pornography. During a recent high-up meeting, the Swedish Police decided that The Pirate Bay is a candidate to the list. TPB has indeed hosted torrents with child pornographic content at times, but these have been removed as soon as possible by the administrators. TPB has been caught by surprise by this as they not been informed by the Swedish Police of the update of the list. As stated above, TPB does in fact remove this type of content, one of few it actually does remove. This is not final though, but most likely a very serious warning sent out to Pirate Bay.
