NVIDIA G92 and G98 specifications and prices revealed
Written by Andreas G 05 September 2007 13:03

A while back we reported that G92 will not be any kind of R600 killer, at least not in the sense of raw performance, but while there were no exact specifications at the time, it was pretty clear that G92 would be a mid-range to high-end card at best. A couple of Chinese hardware sites have now published what they claim to be the specifications of both G92 and its low-end sibling G98. According to the rumors, G92 will sport 64 stream processors, 256-bit memory bus, 740 MHz core clock and 1.8 GHz GDDR3 memory clock. This is will result in a 3DMark 06 score (with a QX6700) close to 10,000. The G98 will in turn sport 32 stream processors, 256-bit memory bus, 800 MHz core and 1.6 GHz memory frequency. With the same system a G98 card will score 74xx in 3DMark 06. The cards are said to have a recommended price of $249-299 and $169-199 USD respectively.
