
ASUS has announced its compatibility list of candidate motherboards with support for the coming AM2+ processors from AMD. The boards in question are based on the nForce 500 series from NVIDIA, AMD/ATI 580 and 690 chipset from AMD. A simple BIOS update should be enough for current owners to get AM2+ compatibility, but the information supplied by ASUS is rather scarce. However (contrary to the announcement) ASUS is not the first to announce AM2+ compatibility, Biostar was with its TF560 A2+. The list of the candidate motherboards from ASUS can be found below.
