GlacialTech Adularia 380 - stylish media center cases
Written by Andreas G 17 September 2007 13:55

Cooling manufacturer GlacialTech has announced a new series of Media Center cases, the Adularia 380. GlacalTech Adularia 380 comes with, like so many other media cases, a clean design very suitable for living rooms. The case is made from light-weight aluminum (6 kg all in all) and is available in two colors; Rock Black and Glacier Silver. This should make it possible for most people to match the Adularia 380 to the rest of the home entertainment equipment. GlacialTech hasn't forgotten about its roots though, but has spent a lot of time optimizing the airflow and overall cooling ability of the case to make sure the components stay both cool and quiet inside.

"The Adularia series, named after a Quartz crystal for which India is one of the principle sources of the highest quality, will bring a sense of permanence and serenity to your Home Theater System. The air flow design is backed up by years of experience and expertise and will facilitate long life to all components that are placed within the solid lightweight structure. Specifications are tabulated below. With features such as 2x USB ports, Audio & Speaker ports, a 52 in 1 card reader and an IR receiver; the Adularia 380 Chassis will be your best step into the Digital Home environment. Included is the power supply, created by an award winning team. The 270W PSU will be more than adequate to facilitate your Digital Home needs."

The case cooling is handled by two 60 mm fans running at 1,500 rpm (19 dBA) and while the 270 W power supply may seem a bit weak it should be sufficient for a good HTPC. The case supports both the ATX and mATX formfactors, and has one 5.25" and two internal 3.5" drive bays. Unfortunately we don't have information on the price or the availability at this time.
