AMD Phenom X4 9600 is one of the quad-core processors from AMD that are set to arrive in just a few weeks. Roadmaps have suggested a clock frequency at 2.4 GHz, but according to the data and pictures published by OCWorkbench, it now runs at 2.3 GHz with a 11.5 multiplier. This is course not a good sign, but at least the processor is getting ready for launch. Along with a picture of the actual processor, OCW has also posted information from CPU-Z which confirms the four 512 KB L2 caches and joint 2 MB L3 cache.
They used a motherboard based on the nForce 560 chipset, which is not PCIe 2.0 compliant, and thus the CPU-Z screen shows 1 GHz HT Link.
