The Intel X48 chipset hasn't been launched yet, but the first benchmarks has already been posted. Boards from both ASUS and Gigabyte have been pixelated and a bit surprisingly, so has a board from abit. Abit was among the last to launch a motherboard based on the Intel X38 chipset, but over at Hexus.net they published a couple of live shots of the replacement; abit IX48-MAX. The MAX implies the use of OTES cooling and as the pictures shows, there is a huge heatsink cooling the northbridge. Overall there's not much to say about a picture, but hopefully the IX48-MAX will arrive closer to the launch date of the chipset, than the X38 boards from abit did.
