ASUS X48 R.O.G. Rampage Formula
Written by Andreas G 20 December 2007 17:33

ASUS is one of the main sponsors of the annual Swedish Computer Performance Championship and in a recent interview we were told to keep an eye out for upcoming X48 motherboards. One of the first previews of ASUS X48 R.O.G. Rampage Formula, the DDR2 version of ASUS' X48 models, has now been posted. Greek hardware site hwbox.gr has published tons of pictures of both the motherboard and the BIOS. No benchmarks though and the text is of course in Greek, but from the pictures we can see that the motherboard is indeed very much alike ASUS current X38 Maximus Formula.

There is an even faster version coming called Rampage Extreme, which uses DDR3 memory and hopefully some other goodies that are missing with the Formula board. You can find more pictures and specifications over at hwbox.gr.
