DirectX10 is still pretty fresh with few games supporting it and Crysis as the main attraction, but it seems the launch plans for the next DirectX is already far along. According to rumor sites, Microsoft is planning to launch DirectX11 some where around the end of 2008, or early 2009. It remains to be seen how the game developers and hardware manufacturers will keep up with this rapid transition to DX11 from DX10 and DX10.1. There are no specifics surrounding DirectX11, but we will return when there is more to tell.
