We're well aware that the TLB bug has gotten a lot more attention than it deserves in the media, but one can't help reacting when we're reached by more reports stating that the most recent spins of the B3 stepping still has the bug (via XS) and that this might force AMD to do another respin, delaying the release of the B3 stepping by another month or so. The TLB bug by itself could cause a lockup or a crash in a very intense environment, but is extremely unlikely to happen with a desktop computer. The unfortunate about it is that AMD has issued a BIOS fix that causes a 5-10% performance penalty, which can be deactivated through the AMD OverDrive utility though.
