Hipro5 is known as one of the top overclockers in the world. He is a very skilled overclocker, and his soldering and modding skills are probably, together with Shamino, the best of the overclocking community. After keeping a low profile for a while he's back with some Radeon 2900XT modding. After completing just five of the eight planned modifications, he has published some initial test runs and been able reach a core freuqency of 1377MHz, bench stable. The cold bug went down from -137°C to -187°C, and he was able to keep the cards at -182°C during load.
This was a direct reply to Kingpin and Fugger's recent ORB raid, and even though his single card results are nothing but impressive, he has a long way to go before he will bring back the 3DMark 06 crown to the red team. Check out his thread at Xtremesystems for some early benchmarks.
