Apple MacBook Air - world's largest iPod?
Written by Andreas G 07 February 2008 12:43

If there's anything Apple knows how to do, it's how to create a hype. Its clean and minimalistic designs has been a key ingredient, especially when Apple launched what it claimed to be the world's thinnest laptop in the form of MacBook Air. Air is indeed an Apple product in practically every way imaginable, the exterior is just breathtaking, but when it comes to computers, the inside is actually even more important. Over at Ars Technica they've taken a look at Apple MacBook Air, but also checked out its other features and the performance.

The result is an article with many positive remarks, but they also locate a couple of problems. First of all, the performance has taken a hit with the new and smaller case, but the real Achilles heal is the battery time. According to Ars Technica's tests, MacBook Air lasts about half of the specified battery time with the display turned down as much as possible.

Head over Ars Technica for the complete review of Apple MacBook Air.
