Written by Andreas G 19 March 2008 14:43

With the recent launch of nForce 790i chipset, OCZ, Corsair and Crucial have all launched new DDR3 modules sporting the highest frequency yet. Corsair Dominator TW3X2G2000, Crucial Ballistix PC3-16000 and OCZ PC3-16000 all operate at 2000MHz, have EPP 2.0 profiles and are labeled as SLI-Ready. OCZ PC3-16000 sports 9-8-8 timings and an 1.9V operating voltage (9-9-9-28 on non-EPP2.0 motherboards). In turn, Crucial Ballistix PC3-16000 sports 9-9-9-28 at 1.9V, while Corsair's modules operate at 2.0V with 8-8-8-24 on EPP motherboards, and 10-8-8 on regular boards.

Crucial Ballistix PC3-16000 costs $649 and is available immediately. No word on the other two.
