ASUS announces overclocked 9800GTX - EN9800GTX TOP/HTDP/512M
Written by Andreas G 09 April 2008 12:04

As predicted, a number of overclocked 9800GTX cards have started to appear, the last to reach us is ASUS EN9800GTX TOP/HTDP/512M. ASUS new card has been overclocked by 12% from factory and now sports a GPU frequency of 755MHz, instead of the reference 675MHz. This also means that the shaders have been bumped up to 1840MHz, while the memory chips are now operating at 1175Mhz, instead of 1100MHz. While these are some impressive factory overclocks, there's one more thing to it.

Along with the card, you also get a new version of SmartDoctor which allows you to overclock the GPU and shaders independently, a feature which has only been available with RivaTuner before. The new SmartDoctor feature works with all cards of the GeForce 8 and 9 series.

You also get the GamerOSD, which can be programmed to boost performance in certain applications when you feel you could use a couple of extra frames per second.
