Asetek Low Cost Liquid Cooling (LCLC) tested
Written by Andreas G 11 April 2008 11:28

Asetek Low Cost Liquid Cooling (LCLC) is something as odd as a compact and affordable water cooling system. The basic idea of LCLC was to design a cooler that would meet the standards of the OEMs and PC builders. It had to be durable, affordable, maintenance free, but also perform well. We've seen it in action in the HP Blackbird and a couple of different systems from different PC builders, but the fact is that you can also get it in the retail channel through Asetek partner NorthQ for as little as $70. Over at HotHardware they've now published a review of the LCLC with both CPU and GPU as parts of the loop.

They compares the water cooler to the Intel stock cooler and Silverstone's NT-06 cooler. The LCLC stands up well to both of them, but most important of all, it does it  while also producing substantially less noise. The same goes for the GPU tests, where LCLC is able to cool the graphics cards very well. And if you're unhappy with the performance you can always fit the radiator with a faster and louder fan.

Later today we will publish an interview with Asetek CEO André Sloth Eriksen where you will find out more about Asetek and the LCLC, but until then you can head over to HotHardware and read on about the LCLC.
