Benjamin Heckendorn is known for his modding skills, and especially two projects, where he turned both Xbox 360, and later on Xbox 360 Elite, and Wii into laptops. His latest project has a lot in common with these projects, as it's another video game console which has been turned into a laptop, PlayStation 3. Much like his previous work the detail work is quite extraordinary and he's been able to make it look like a PlayStation product, although a highly unofficial such.
The laptop is based on the original 60GB model with hardware backwards compatibility, integrated 17" 720p LCD monitor, HDMI connection, built in keyboard, speakers and USB ports. The laptop measures 17x13.75x3 inches and weighs 16 pounds. Neither small nor lightweight, but I don't think the lucky owner will care that much about either. The laptop will be auctioned off soon, and the earnings will go to charity.
