NVIDIA, and partners, have announced the "new" GeForce 9600GSO. The reference card sports 550MHz core clock, 96 shader processors clocked at 1375MHz, and 384MB GDDR3 memory clocked at 1600MHz over a 192-bit memory bus. Sounds familiar? It should, it's pretty much the exact same card as GeForce 8800GS, a card which raised little to no interest among partners and consumers. The new GeForce 9600GSO has a rather attractive price though, it costs around €100 in stores, and there seems to be plenty of cards in stock.
