Reports of AMD engineers playing around with the soon to be launched RV770Pro graphics circuits says that the core has been most cooperative. Apparently they were able to hit close to 1GHz core frequency with a media sample on air cooling, and in the hands of a skilled reviewer, beyond 1GHz should not be an issue. RV770Pro will be the slower of the two RV770 cards, with RV770XT as the faster sibling.
